Ammonium
Flouride [NH4] is widely used for preserving wood, as a mothproofing agent,
in printing and dying textiles, and as an antiseptic in breweries. This
chemical compound is obtained by neutralizing ammonia with hydrofluoric
acid. It is collected in the form of crystals having a sharp saline taste
and is exceedingly soluble in water.

Cadmium
Nitrate Tetrahydrate is used for coloring glass and porcelain and as a flash
powder in photography. The compund is formed from cadmium nitrate, which
absorbs moisture from air and becomes watery, i.e. it is deliquescent.

Cadmium
Sulfate is widely used in various industries for the electroplating of
cadmium in electronic circuits. This compound is also used as a reagent, in
vacuum tubes, fluorescent screens, and electroplating baths, and as a
fungicide. It is available in the form of a white or colorless, odorless,
crystalline solid.
